The Caribbean all-rounder gave the Knight Riders their sixth win in six matches with an innings of 72 off 26 balls with nine sixes on Saturday night.
Batting first, Barbados scored 146 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. The teams are winning the match by scoring in the current CPL. The champions were also playing with that hope. But the Raiders took 6 wickets in Pollard’s stormy innings.
Pollard’s team did not have a good start to chase the run. At the end of 10 overs of the innings, the collection stood at 36 runs for 4 wickets.
Lyndon Simmons and Akil Hossain tried to handle the initial disaster. Simmons was dismissed for 32 off 29 balls and Akil for 12 off 18 balls. At the end of 18 overs, the Raiders were 83 for six.
